The regional round of the Competition "Young chemist of the Czech Republic needed" took place on 29 January 2019 in the town of Valasske Mezirici
As in the previous year, we continued cooperation with the Integrated Secondary School in the Town of Valasske Mezirici (ISŠ-COP). We provided financial support for the “Young Chemist of the Czech Republic Needed” competition. The regional round took place at ISŠ-COP. Thirty pupils from the 9th grade participated in this event, then the four top competitors moved on to the national final round to be held on 11 June in Pardubice.
Supporting students and pupils from schools in our region is one of our Corporate Social Responsibility goals (CSR activities). We are glad that we can be a part of the education movement and that we can promote the schools’ science and technological subjects. Competitions such as these enable pupils to broaden their knowledge, find their, often hidden, potential, increase their confidence and, maybe, commence their future careers.
