Moravian Wallachia Classic - 1st year of veteran race in Moravia
On 25 June - 26 June 2021, you could see veteran cars of various brands passing through Vsetín. This was the first year of the race called the Moravian Wallachia Classic. This veteran race is another event to the races, which are traditionally held in South Bohemia and are called South Bohemia Classic.
But don't be confused by the word rally. This is not a speed race, but a race of accuracy - the so-called hundredth rally, where the goal of the crews is to complete the specified track as accurately as possible according to a predetermined time and in compliance with the rules of road traffic. Crews undergo the accuracy tests while driving all the way on roads during normal road traffic. The competition is intended for owners of historic cars up to 1991 (Classic category) and for owners of sports cars manufactured after 1992 (Exclusive category).
The Moravian Wallachia Classic was attended by 45 crews, of which 44 were in the Classic category and 1 car in the Exclusive category (Mustang Fastback GT 5.0L V8, produced in 2015). This type of race was held in Moravia for the first time. The route had 2 stages. The first stage led from Velké Karlovice to Vsetín, where the ceremonial start took place, and further to Valašské Klobouky and Francova Lhota. The second stage then took the competitors to the golf resort in Ostravice, to the Tatra area in Kopřivnice, to Štramberk Square, or to the open-air museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.
We believe that the crews enjoyed our beautiful and sometimes maybe a little harsh Wallachian environment and that they will be happy to return here.
