About five hundred primary school pupils visited the Vsetin Hospital on 21 June 2019. Kayaku was there as well.
The Vsetin Hospital event, conducted annually, is not only becoming more and more popular among the public, but also among primary schools pupils as the participation of almost five hundred pupils goes to show.
Nineteen visitors’ stations were set up on the hospital premises where we were able to see selected workplaces at the Vsetin Hospital. Visitors also had the opportunity to undergo a medical examination of renal functions or to consult on eating habits with the nutrition advisers.
The pupils who visited this event learned more about the human body and joined prevention programmes. The prevention of lung diseases, especially anti-smoking initiatives, was the main theme for this year. Medical personnel use a model to demonstrate the amount of smoke that is absorbed by an unborn child through the amniotic fluid of a mother who smokes regularly.
The medical school (MG, SZŠ a VOŠZ Vsetin) is an important partner of the “Day at the Hospital”. This event was held with the sponsorship of our company, which has long supported Vsetin Hospital.
