New KSE president

On 1 June 2021, the official handover of the president of KSE took place

Mr. Akinori Kanno became the new president of our company on 1 June 2021.

In his introductory speech, he mentioned that Kayaku Safety Systems Europe (abbreviated KSE) is a strong company, “which plays a central role in not only Safety Systems Group (SSG) but also whole Nippon Kayaku Group.“

(The full speech of the new president can be found at the end of this article.)

He took over the presidency from his predecessor, Mr. Shinji Ichikawa, who returns to the parent company Nippon Kayaku in Japan after almost four years of operation in the Czech Republic.

In his farewell speech, he thanked all KSE employees: “At this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for all the friendship, kindness, and support during my stay in Vsetin. I only have lovely memories and shall leave my heart here“, and at the same time added: “I am now very confident that KSE is really a robust and strong company supported by a good and talented team.“

Farewell speech of Mr. Shinji ICHIKAWA

Dear KSE family!

After I spent 3 years and 8 months here in the Czech Republic, I must announce that it is time for me to leave the country. Mr. Akinori Kanno succeeds my responsibility at KSE as a president effective on 1 June 2021. Your continuous support of him would be highly appreciated. At this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for all the friendship, kindness, and supports during my stay in Vsetin. I only have lovely memories and shall leave my heart here.

In 2018, we had a serious accident in GG process, and the company has changed its name from legacy Indet Safety Systems to Kayaku Safety Systems Europe. In the following year 2019, we celebrated the company’s 20th anniversary. In the meantime, an unprecedented transformation of the automotive industry has emerged, and it ended up with a pandemic of COVID-19 in 2020 that we are still impacted. Thanks to many “tough events” that happened during my stay at KSE, it proved, that the company is able to overcome all tough challenges, and I am now very confident that KSE is a really robust and strong company supported by a good and talented team.

Please continue to change yourself to adapt to the environment and continue to challenge to keep KSE strong or even stronger and keep your life better. Wish you all the best to everyone and hope to see you again soon.

Shinji Ichikawa

Introductory speech of the new president Mr. Akinori KANNO

Dear KSE employees!

Dobrý den,

My name is Akinori KANNO, I am assigned to be the president of KSE as of 1 June 2021 taking over from Mr. Shinji ICHIKAWA.

First, I would like to introduce myself briefly. I joined Nippon Kayaku in 2013 as a member of the Sales and Marketing Dept., in 2014 moved to Germany as a Sales Representative of ENK (Euro Nippon Kayaku GmbH), and then returned to Japan in 2018 as a Manager of Global Sales. I believe KSE is one of the companies that play a central role in not only Safety Systems Group (SSG) but also whole NK’s companies, therefore expectations are high all the time, but let’s continue to grow with everyone’s effort.

Under the current COVID-19 situation, it would be still difficult to see the market trend in our industry however, let’s build the stronger company that can fulfill the demands of the market by stretching each antenna. I really look forward to working with all of you here in Vsetin and enjoying Czech life.

Akinori KANNO
